According to the 1850 Federal Census, Stokes Co., NC, Peter D. Irion/Aaron was born in Virginia about 1814. Peter first married Elizabeth Fulton/Fultin in 1835. In 1840, Peter married Malinda White who was born in North Carolina about 1820. Peter died before 1870. In 1880 Malinda Aron is living with her daughter and son-in-law, Andrew and Martha Jane Holt. They lived in the Peters Creek District of Stokes County, NC, known as Aaron's Corner.

According to the 1850 Federal Census, Stokes Co., NC, John F. New was born in NC about 1815. He was a miller by trade. His wife Mary, also born in NC, about 1824. Mary New is living next door to John and Mary Jane Aaron in 1880.
James Powell New, a carpenter by trade, also lived in the Peters Creek Townhship of Stokes County, NC. He and his family are found in the 1850 Federal Census. His wife, Nancy J. was born in North Carolina about 1824. James Powell New was born in Virginia about 1813. Nancy Shelton, age 74, is also living with James Powell New and his family in 1850.
In 1865, B. A. Overby was bondsman for the marriage of John Aaron and Mary J. New in Stokes County, NC. In 1866, John Aaron was the Bondsman for the marriage of Martha A. New and Burwell Overby.
