Sarah Jarvis and others Exparte, Petition for Division of Slaves
In this case it is ordered by the court that Samuel L. Davis, Henry Eecles and Bradford Vawter be appointed commissioners to make a division of the slaves in the Pettion allotting & selling a part to each petitioner an equal share of the slaves.
In odedience to an order of Court to us directed (?) we the underneath subscribers convened at the late dwelling house of James Jarvis, dec'd and proceeded to lot of & divide said negroes as follows:
