Slater Family

Henry Slater was born in 1747 and was married to (Elizabeth?) Ann Smith in MD before coming to NC. Henry was possibly the son of Thomas Slater who was a tenant of Carroll's Manor in Maryland in 1765. They had seven children:

Henry Slater, Jr. (1769, MD-1769)
Thomas Slater (1770-?)
Henry Slater Jr. (1772-1787, NC)
Ann Slater (1773, NC-1808, NC) m. John Peddycoard
Mary Slater (1776-1812, NC) m. Benjamin Riddle
Charity Slater (1782-?)
2 other unknown children
In Elizabeth Goslin's will, dated 1802, Nancy Slater is named as the wife of Henry Slater.
In the Shiloh Lutheran Church records, Henry's wife is named Elizabeth (1782)
