This indenture made this 15th day of September in the year of our Lord 1821 between James Jarvis, Junior of the county of
Rowan and state of North Carolina of the one part and William Pack of the county of Rowan and state of North Carolina of
the other part witnesseth that the said James Jarvis Jr., for and in consideration of the sum of $700.00 to him in hand paid at or
before the sealing and delivering of these presents doth give grant bargain bargain sell alien and confirm and by these presents
doth give grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto said William Peak his hiers and assigns a certain tract of land containing by
estimate 100 acres be the same more or less lying situated and being in the county of Rowan on the waters of Muddy Creek
begining at two white oak sprouts running east on the Stokes county line 22 1/2 chains to a post oak thence south in said
county line 43 chains to the stake thence west with Willie Ellis and Lewis Mullican line 22 1/2 chains to a hickory thense north
with Richard Ellis line 43 chains to the aforesaid county line and place of beginning. To have and to hold the parsal of land to
the said William Paek his hiers and assigns forever with all and singular the rights priviledges intrest improvements modifications
thereunto belonging or in any wise (way?) appurtaining and the said James Jarvis Jr by that presents and covenants and agree
with the said William Peak that he will give and grant and assign the title to the said tract of land to the said William Peak and
assign forever against the claim of any persons by his own testmony where of the said James Jarvis Jr. has hereunto set his hand
and affixed his seal this day and year aforesaid witness signed sealed and delivered
