Records of the Moravians, Volume XII, 1856-1866, pg. 6314 "Alexander, the servant of E. A. Vogler, and Julia Catharine Jarvis, a free brown girl living at Br. Thornton's, were baptized." (Susan Cheshire Jarvis died before 1841. Nathan Jarvis married Lucinda Brewer in Stokes County, NC in 1846, bondsman - Lewis Hanes, witnessed by C. H. Nelson. The Jonathan Jarvis family is found in the 1850 Forsyth County, NC Census.

J. M. Stafford, who is mentioned in the Deed of Trust, 1849, was the nephew of Jonathan/John Jarvis. Susan Cheshire, wife of Jonathan Jarvis, and Elizabeth Cheshire wife of John Booe were sisters. John and Elizabeth's child, Mary Elizabeth Booe, married John M. Stafford.
