A slight problem: Joseph William Boner is supposed to have died on 13 Aug 1786, according to the Forsyth County cemetery records book. Alsha Boner was not born until 12 Jul 1787. Either one of these dates is wrong, or Alsha doesn't belong in this family.
According to local tradition, this one-and-a-half-story log house which stands close to the Yadkin River was built by Theodore Boner. The house may, however, have been the resident of Joseph Boner who is mentioned in the Moravian Records in 1833. The Boner and Miller families lived on the east bank of the Yadkin River north of the present highway bridge beyond Clemmons. Although one chimney on the Boner house has been destroyed, the other one is a large brick chimney with a decorative cap.
